In this episode Nicole and Sarah host Julie Smith, head of the quality programs at Lawson’s Finest Liquids (Brewery) in Waitsfield, Vermont. Julie shares her career path and some great Lawson’s history. 

We talk about why there aren’t more women in the brewing industry, although Lawson’s has done a great job in this space and is close to 50% women.

Julie tells us about the Pink Boots brewery program which is a fantastic global non-profit focused on getting more women into the brewing industry. Pink Boots has local chapters, events, scholarships and more. 

It was so interesting to get Julie’s firsthand views into life at a famous Vermont brewery and we already planned to meet there for our next apres beverage!
