In this episode Nicole and Sarah are joined by ski mom Nelly Thomas, the founder of Raising Little Rippers (www.raisinglittlerippers.com) an online community for ski/ride parents. Nelly talked to us from her family RV in Whitefish, Montana.
Nelly tells us about what led her to start Raising Little Rippers and shares some of her top tips and advice for teaching your kids to ski (and ride the lift!). It’s clear that Nelly is a wealth of knowledge for parents who are taking teaching kids to ski into their own hands. In addition to teaching her 3 boys to ski, Nelly has years of experience as a professional instructor.
We were very excited to learn about Riski Business, a new ski/ride safety eguide Nelly launched to help parents instill strong risk management skills on the slopes. It includes a wide range of topics (chairlifts, tree wells, avoiding collisions) to keep kids safe while skiing - all covered in a fun and engaging style.
