In this episode we meet Peggy Shin, a freelance writer and author with extensive experience covering ski racing, Olympic athletes, and winter sports. Peggy started skiing at a young age and ski raced through college. Peggy transitioned from technical writing to sports journalism, covering ski events for local papers and national publications.

Peggy began working with the U.S. Olympic Committee in 2008, covering all Olympic sports on their website. We loved learning about the many Olympic Games Peggy has covered including Shaun White's gold medal performances.

Peggy tells us about her book, World Class which dives into the teamwork culture behind the successful U.S. women's cross-country ski team. The book provides insights on team dynamics, athlete injuries/comebacks and the need for more female coaches and reporters in sports media.

We also talk to Peggy about how she makes time to get out and ski from her home in Vermont.
